The university’s programs and approach are ideally suited for the business and hospitality industries that underpin the regional economy. Realizing that its smaller, leased campuses in Charleston and Norfolk were not conducive to continued strategic growth, JWU embraced a unique public-private partnership opportunity. The state-of-the-art $110 million Charlotte Campus opened in 2004 and quickly expanded.
Today, over 1,100 students are enrolled, pursuing career success through 21 distinct degree programs across eight buildings on 14.7 acres in Uptown Charlotte.
