J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center (JIRDC), located in Morganton, serves as the state-operated developmental center for North Carolina’s western region. The center offers comprehensive services and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), complex behavioral challenges, and/or medical conditions that require a higher level of clinical care than what is available in the community.
