The Northwestern Regional Housing Authority offers affordable housing for the elderly, disabled, and low- to moderate-income families in northwest North Carolina. We have provided safe, affordable housing for tens of thousands of individuals and households.
The seven counties that make up our region are Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey. Our organization’s mission aims to promote adequate and affordable housing for those less fortunate in our communities, providing economic opportunity and a suitable living environment free from discrimination.
